Native Coins Overview
The CrossFi Chain ecosystem is powered by two native tokens: Mint Power (MPX) and CrossFi (XFI). MPX drives on-chain governance, staking, and covers transaction fees on the Cosmos network, while XFI fuels in-app payments, gas fees in the EVM layer, and DeFi operations. MPX Coin
MPX is the native governance and staking token for the Cosmos-based part of CrossFi Chain.
MPX is minted continuously through staking participation, providing predictable and stable growth in supply.
Key Functions
- Governance:
MPX is used in our decentralized governance, enabling token holders to participate in network votes. - Staking Enabler for XFI:
MPX acts as the “computational unit” required to stake XFI. Without sufficient MPX, staking XFI is not possible. - Transaction Fees:
All transactions on the Cosmos network of CrossFi are paid with MPX, ensuring smooth processing. - eMPX:
MPX plays a role in creating eMPX, the wrapped version for use in EVM environments.
XFI Coin
XFI is the utility token powering user interactions across our products and the EVM segment of the blockchain.
With a cap of 378,400,000 XFI tokens, scarcity and controlled supply contribute to XFI’s long-term value dynamics.
Key Functions
- In-App Payments:
XFI serves as the primary means of payment within the CrossFi App, supporting transfers, purchases, and other activities in our mobile Web3 bank. - Gas Fees in EVM:
XFI is used to pay for gas fees in the EVM-compatible layer, acting similarly to ETH in other ecosystems. - Ecosystem Staking:
Although XFI is a staking asset, it requires MPX for the staking process. - DeFi and Trading:
XFI fuels our DeFi products, including trading on xSwap and liquidity provisioning, for example with the xUSD pool.
